Are you interested in achieving "Therapy Dog" certification/registration for you and your canine friend?

There are many organizations across the nation that recognize the benefit that being with a dog (or other pet) can bring. From schools, to nursing homes to hospitals, qualified people/dog teams have made enormous contributions to the welfare, health and happiness of countless people, through their caring, presence and understanding. Receiving the Juneau Volunteer Program of the Year Award for Therapy Dogs, 1993

With our years of experience, training, and education, we can help you and your canine achieve this goal. Through passage of the American Kennel Club's Canines Good Citizen (CGC) test, and the required letters of recommendation, you can apply for Registration with Therapy Dogs International, Inc. As an approved CGC evaluator, former evaluator for Therapy Dogs International and Therapy Dogs Incorporated, and having taken the Delta Society Evaluator training, Canines Unlimited/Martha Fischbach has the background and credentials to guide and train you and your pet to get your Registration.

Background and Awards:
In the early 1990's, Martha Fischbach, worked with a few other dedicated Juneauites, and was instrumental in getting a Therapy Dog program instituted in Juneau. Martha's dogs, Callie (Certified with Therapy Dogs International and Therapy Dogs Incorporated) and Peter (Certified with Therapy Dogs International) did visitations and made appearances, from Juneau Pioneer Home to the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon, Juneau Christian School to Cub Scout troop.Alaska Legislative Citation to Canines Unlimited and Juneau Therapy Dogs for CGC work

Canines Unlimited and Juneau Therapy Dogs received a Legislative Citation (pictured right), and a Juneau City and Borough Resolution for work with the Canine Good Citizen program and responsible dog ownership.

Canines Unlimited also received recognition from the Governor for its work with the Canine Good Citizen program.

Martha, Callie and Peter also received national awards, because of their outstanding extensive community service, part of which was substantial work and volunteering with the Juneau Therapy Dog program.

Martha graduated from the University of Minnesota, Cum Laude, with a degree in Recreation, Therapeutic concentration, Nursery School teaching certification and a strong Psychology background.
